My son is a bit like me - doesn't like to get too messy. So when I put on his dirt-haulin' shirt from Progeny, he was a little apprehensive. Even at age two, he said, "No, dirty!" After a few minutes of back and forth I was able to convince him that it wasn't really dirty, that the dirt was built right in. Once he realized that I was right, he fell in love with the shirt and now he pulls it off his shelf and asks to wear it.
