I went in for my follow up appointment today and the polyps in my stomach are still nothing to worry about (just like last year) they are still just fundic tumors which as of right now are nothing right now. These are really common with people who have FAP. After the last year and with seeing Dr. Heigh again last week I was pretty much at ease and sort of knew that things were going to go smoothly. It sounds as though I should have pretty normal check ups and I think we'll know pretty far in advance if anything changes since I go in yearly.
So with knowing that my tests were coming back normal I wanted to also see the results of my blood work from last week and those came back in the normal range but he also told me that I should think about adding a calcium supplement since I could be lactose intolerant and it would help calm down my intestines so I won't have to go as often and also help ward off osteoporosis. I'm still trying to get some research done but so far things are looking good because there was a study done and in it was stated that calcium and Vitamin D was known to help ward off colon cancer. It's quite an interesting story and of course I don't fully understand it but I'm hoping to get help with that.
So overall it was a good day. I did have to take a little nap, for ahout 20 minutes, remember I have been waking up these past few days between 3:15 and 4:00am and still going to bed at 10pm. Well I have to get going because the Diamondbacks won the game last night 7-2, if they score at least 6 runs during a home game you can go to Taco Bell the next night from 4-6pm and get three tacos free with the purchase of a large drink. Not a bad deal, may not be healthy but cheap sometimes is pretty darn good.
