I don't usually use my blog as an outlet for personal prayer requests, but today I felt that I should. I always like for my blog to have a light and uplifting tone to it, but sometimes
life happens. And this is one of those times!
Some of you know that my husband had shoulder surgery in December. The weeks that followed were very difficult. He was in constant and extreme pain. His shoulder also became stiff keeping him from being able to raise his arm. After weeks of physical therapy, he regained motion in his arm, and after twelve weeks, he was allowed to return to work. Friday while at work his shoulder "popped" and locked up.
He was taken to quick care and the doctor there said there were three possibilities:
1. Inflammation.
2. He has dislocated a disc in his neck.
3. His rotator cuff has suffered another tear. That doctor has referred us back to Tommy's surgeon. We will see him today.
Please be in prayer for Tommy and our family. We are all a bit tense while awaiting the diagnosis, but most of all Tommy needs a healing to take place in his body. The possibility of another surgery has already been mentioned. That was not an experience we hope to relive.
This is of course in addition to "life". Jaden had a bike wreck a few weeks ago and bruised his bladder and ribs. Three of my four kiddos had a cold and fevers this past week. Tommy also had an accident a couple of weeks ago while doing yard work and was literally "stabbed" in the hand damaging nerves in the process. We are also concerned that all of the time Tommy has lost at work this year may effect his job security. All of this has left a very physically drained mommy. I can truly say that through it all my Father has carried me in His arms, and I have grown closer to Him through these things, but I am exhausted mentally and physically.
Prayers for my family are appreciated. A friend asked when I was going to wrap Tommy in bubble wrap. I'd rather God wrap us all in a hedge of protection.
Thank you all so much!
