 I am a pretty optimistic person but I've got to tell you, I am being blown away! This young man and his family are dear friends we have known since was about 8. His Dad was instumental in getting Brett hired at his job and his parents have been a great source of parenting information, tools, and ideas. Sadly, he was very seriously injured at a recent wrestling tournament with a bad neck injury. He has been hospitalized, on a ventilator and had 2 major surgeries, one of which is being done today. Prayers are being poured out on his behalf and his medical team is doing their very best to help him. His mom is staying at the hospital with him throughout the week and his dad is at home and work, trying to help keep his 7 brothers and sisters functioning under some semblance of normal. They are hoping for a full recovery but only the Lord knows what will transpire over the upcoming days, weeks, and months. What is blowing me away are the posts from him parents which can be seenhere. They are full of hope, praise of others, kind thoughts, and inspiration. They built me up, just reading them.
