QUESTION:

When in hisd carrier on a plane fight for 1 hour and thirty-three minutes, he
claed the front of his cage resulting in alot of bleeding
nail in both front paws. Still extremely tender a day later. Is there anything,
besides
rest, that would provide relief?

Thanks for your time and help.

Answer:

Dear,

You should first check if there is more damage beside broken nail.
It is common for nail to blead a lot, even day or two after the injury.
Apply 3% hydrogen peroxide solution on the wound. After that apply
povidone iodine or antibiotic powder few times. Because this injury
is very painfull for the animal, be carefull when managing with the wound.

Truly,

Damjan
