Since you have found only 1 nail on each of the front paws, that pretty much eliminates the likelihood of a systemic disease. More likely, if this is a problem at all, it might come from some type of trauma, such as your dog pawing at a fence and damaging the nail bed on 1 or 2 of her nails. Try cleaning away the dark material and keeping her from clawing at things for awhile...then look at those nails again.
You might be getting upset over something that is part of her normal anatomy.

Hello,
I have a female lab and I have noticed one bleeding nail in each front paw for a long time, and it never grows better. I would think her nails are too long but the curious thing is that the bleeding nails are only the small ones on the side of both paws. You can tell is blood because it looks dark on the top and to the light you can see the red spots like dry blood inside the nail.
I already asked my vet but he didnt say much about it. He acted like it was nothing important. I am alittle worried beacise all her other nails are normal color.
I have done some internet reseach but didnt find an answer.
Can you help me?
