
Is the red mark on the front surface of the eye...the cornea? Or, is it on the white part of the eye? If it's on the cornea, it probably arose as a result of a scratch or puncture to the cornea. This requires fairly immediate attention. If it's on the white of the eye, it still could be a result of trauma or could be some type of hemorrhage.
Any of these considerations should be looked at by your veterinarian.

My cat, who is 11yrs old has developed a red mark in one eye over the last week. He is an all white cat with green eyes, in good health abet a bit overweight.
