My older shitzu is in great health, but his right eye is getting cloudy and seems to have surface irregularities - the vet said it is not cadaracts. Any ideas?
ANSWER :
Dear,
It is hard to say from this point of view, especially when there isn’t a photo available. It might be an inflammation of the cornea in which case there will be presence of extra tears. It might be injury in which case sill have excess tears also. It might be senile problem.
My suggestion is to visit some veterinary ophthalmologist at some veterinary hospital or nearest veterinary faculty.
