Pilates - can I bend past 90 degree angle?

I am 50 years old - 3 yrs post Total hip replacement. Work full time & have returned to "normal" activities. I have very little pain. I have started Pilates instruction on reformer, cadillac - not mat classes. Instructor is concerned about going past 90 degree angle etc. which are restricted after THR surgery.
The original fracture (of the neck) occured in 2005, when I had surgery to reconstruct it and when that failed - had total hip replacement in 2006. My hip was not cemented, so recovery was slower. I contacted the rehab center where I did my post surgery rehab for 9 mos. They said that 3yrs out from my THR -I can go past 90° angle. It was my understanding that the restriction for this was for 6mos post surgery. Is that correct? Am I okay with doing these moves/stretches in Pilates?
