Her: Hello.

Me: Hi. I need to make an appointment to see Dr. S.

(She finds out who I am and collects contact information).

Her: So, you needed what? To see Dr. Who? Dr. B.?

Me: No, Dr. S. I need a pap smear and I also need to schedule a progesterone blood test.

Her: You need to make an appointment to get your lab results?

Me: No, I need to have labs drawn. And to have a pap smear.

Her: With Dr. S.?

Me: Yes. It's a follow-up appointment from an infertility consult.

Her (confused): Oh, okay.

(Long pause).

Her: She's in on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Me: Monday is good.

(We decide on a time).

Her: Will you be needing birth control at your appointment?

Me: Um. . . no.
