More TV Pregnancy and Sex Stuff

Posted Oct 22 2008 4:51pm

While watching the Scrubs episode the other night, the husband and I had an interesting altercation. When Elliott was about to cry because she was so happy for Carla being pregnant, the husband pauses the TiVo, looks at me and asks - "Are you OK?" I answer back to stop asking me fucking questions, to mind his own business and unpause the damned TV. Sounds sane right? I seriously wanted to rip his head off. I don't even know why really.

And then yesterday was the beginning of baby making time. All he had to do was inseminate me, preferably more than once. Seems difficult right? Well, 45 minutes of sex and no spermage may seem great to most, but not when you are trying to get pregnant. Wait a few hours, try again. Except of course now I'm tired and want to hurry this along, being that my previous sex that day had been completely useless, conception-wise. Well, this was apparently too much pressure or something and we argue, also very conducive to the baby-making process, ending with me saying something snarky about never having this much trouble getting anyone to put out before and then rolling over and going to sleep mad. So day 1 of sex of month 17 was a bust.

My tolerance for everything baby related, especially the husband, is just over its limit. I in no way blame him for what has happened thus far in our little endeavor, he's just around and involved in the process enough to make himself a walking target. I've always been bitchy and 17 months of utter hell aren't making me any more friendly. Unfortunately my behavior isn't very helpful as I have to keep him around and willing to have the sex if we ever want to get pregnant again.
