BTW, I am asked so often the following two questions...I thought I would answer them here.
First Question - "Can you please recommend a daycare center here in Atlanta?"
Answer - I am not able to personally recommend one daycare over another as I have found that it all comes down to personal preference. I learned this after visiting a daycare that the child of someone at my church attends and is thrilled with. It was the first place I visited, but afterwards, I knew that it would not be a great match for my family. Such things are so subjective. However, I will make one recommendation. If you would like your child to begin daycare sometime in his/her first year in the areas north of I-20 inside the perimeter, I suggest you visit and get your name on a waiting list of at least two of your top choices during the early months of your pregnancy. I submitted my name to the wait list of 4 daycares when I was 4.5 months pregnant (approximately 1 year ago) and have only been called by one to ask if I would like to remain on their list...i.e. none have had openings yet.
Second Question - Who is your OB-GYN and how long do you spend in his waiting room?
Answer - Dr. Archie Roberts is my beloved OB-GYN. He has been my Dr. for 4 years and has seen me through outpatient surgery, routine visits, a 46 hour labor, an emergency c-section, and PPD. His care means the world to me and my family and I highly recommend him. The link to his practice's website is http://peachtreewomensspecialists.com/. Regarding the wait-time, I have only waited more than 10 minutes once in 4 years and Dr. Roberts was so apologetic for my wait, I actually felt bad for him... :)
Bye for now!
