Vitamin C While Pregnant

Posted Aug 13 2009 7:59pm
When I am pregnant, I am not taking any Vitamin C. But I think Vitamin C is safe during pregnancy. Just do not take mega doses of it. The best thing to do is to eat variety of fruits and vegetables. And make sure you are eating at least one food rich in vitamin C every day, like orange juice, kiwi, red pepper, or strawberries. My health care provider says that I should consume a normal amount of vitamin C when I am pregnant. The recommended daily amount is 85 mg for pregnant women age 19 and older. The maximum is 2,000 mg per day.
