70. Three Cheers for a Clear Head

RAW Day 38



The number one brilliant effect that raw foods had on me immediately was, my mental fog was lifted. I had really been struggling with this terrible fuzzyheadedness, particularly in the mornings. It was scary and frustrating.



After a few days raw, ta-da! -- no fog. And, I feel as clear in the mornings as I do at night. In fact, I no longer have food hangovers at all. I don't feel sick or bloated after eating. Eating never makes me sleepy like it did with cooked food. I don't have terrible morning breath or a yucky taste in my mouth. I just feel clear and good.



On a funny note, I spent the first few days with a clear runny nose. When that stopped, I felt my peak mental clarity (which has continued on). Perhaps my brain had fluid retention!



There's no way of knowing what aspect of raw food living gets credit or if it's a whole combination of things. So I will not tamper with it and just keep eating this way.



Bonus feature: for the third month in a row, I've had no premenstrual migraine, which is something I've suffered from for years until now, and I get minimal cramps and urges to eat, instead of debilitating cramps and ridiculous food cravings.
