from Purely Raw:
Zoe won £4000! http://www.doyouhaveadream.co.uk/
We are proud to announce that Zoe won “Best Idea and Business Plan by a Female Entrepreneur” in the annual St Helen’s Chamber of Commerce competition to create Social Enterprise in the region. She was presented with an oversized cheque by John Bird, founder of The Big Issue.
Her business plan outlined a new ‘Food and Life Centre’ for our local community.
The Food and Life Centre would provide:
* Organic fruit, nuts, seeds, vegetables and equipment at cost/wholesale prices.
* Classes in raw food prep, vegetable growing, making dehydrators, conscious health and positive living.
* Raw food library, books, DVD’s and meeting rooms.
* Different support/sharing/talking groups for different needs.
* Raw food parties and all kinds of gatherings/celebrations of Life!
The Chamber folks are also currently tempting us with grant money that they say will be easy to get with her Business Plan. We’ll let you know where that goes.
The judges of the competition were enthused about the idea of raw food and were eager to try some. The wife of one of the judges is even coming to our next Pot Luck!
If you want to make raw food your business, then why not get in touch with your local Chamber of Commerce and ask them about grants and loans available for social enterprises. Let's flood the country with raw food community projects!
Northwest Raw Food Pot Luck http://www.purelyraw.com/potluck.htm
Let’s face it, the social life of a raw food lover can sometimes, umm, ahem, change a lot? Building and enjoying new friendships really puts that old social sparkle back into our raw lives. It is all about meeting face-to-face, connecting with each other, and sharing food. The effect is as wonderful, healing and transformational as any expensive superfood. The food is always an eclectic mix of flavours and ingredients. There will be something for everyone and new friends for everyone too.
April 19th is our 4th potluck so far. We are taking the next step for Raw Food in the Northwest by having a organizational meeting as part of the next potluck.
We will be talking about organizing wholesale bulk food orders to save us all money, and planning other events like raw weekends away together to have some fun! So come with ideas and dreams of your own, and together we’ll make them come true.
Raw Food Home Delivery http://www.purelyraw.com/homedelivery.htm

We have some new photos uploaded to the website, with more on the way, and some new menu items coming too, so keep an eye out for an announcement soon.
Kitchen Classes http://www.purelyraw.com/days.htm
Our next class is on May 3rd. It was previously advertised as being on the 26th April but we had to change the date. The new summer price for our superb kitchen class is just £90, under 16 & 60+ £60.
It will feature true stars of the raw food world such as Carrot and Onion Bread and Pasta Alfredo. We reveal the secrets that you just can’t learn from Youtube or a recipe book. Most of our recipes are finished with beautiful presentation ideas and techniques. We pay attention to the details so you get professional results from your raw food preparation.
