Healing old pain

Posted May 22 2009 11:44pm

I've heard and read in many places about how - during a fast or feast you will heal old pain. Injuries which happened , sometimes years before, will reappear as the tissue in the area is healed at a deeper cleaner level. From what I understand the cells which healed the first time were full of SAD (standard american diet) nutrition and while you are fasting the new RAW cells go in and replace the old SAD cells... (something like this anyway, I'm not trying to be scientific here LOL) and so you can feel old injuries again as they heal.

My hips have really been bothering me for the last week. When I was overweight, they bothered me all the time. Poor hips, carrying around 140 pounds of extra fat weight every day and even during the night (as I sleep on my side) - so now I guess my hips are healing from all that stress!

My tailbone has also been extremely sore. Hard to sit for long and I'm looking forward to this area healing quickly. The only time I can remember my tail bone being so sore was during the birth of my son, so I'm guessing that this is when this injury originally occurred.

My eyes and specifically the muscles surrounding them, have been really sore as well and I haven't even been on the computer that much since the majority of the magazine is complete at this time. But before I got my glasses, they ached all the time, so I'm guessing they are also healing at a different level.

I love that this is happening for my body. Knowing that my body really is becoming 'new' is a great feeling. I've kept my MSM intake at 2 tablespoons a day and today I had 1 teaspoon of hemp oil. I mixed the MSM and hemp in a glass of pineapple juice... it went down very easily actually.

Today marks the one-month anniversary of Darryl's death and it is also his birth day. I can't imagine the pain his Mom is feeling today. I send her love and will continue lighting candles for her all day today. I suppose in some ways it's a gift that the two days... one month and his birth are combined... as she can hopefully move forward a little easier after today. Although, I'm quite sure it'll take her a long time to truly heal.
