So good to be home again - been away a few days - at Kate Wood’s in Brighton. I love Kate so much we travelled 7 hours there and 7 hours back on the train to see her. We are on such a similar vibe - it’s so validating, encouraging etc to spend time with her.
So much to catch up on now back - hardly know where to start - had three weekends out of four away. They were all worthwhile and wonderful in their own way but generally i prefer to be at home - the space i have specially designed to meet our needs and support our creative expression!
And women have been persuaded out of their homes and being with their children. Each to their own of course and to stay at home does not suit everyone - but - we were told that we were demeaning ourselves by staying at home when actually it was the home and the importance of caring for children that was being been demeaned. The priorties had been inverted. To care for these very important sacrosanct newcomers, who are still so in touch with their feelings, and can teach us so much, with the support of the tribe is at the heart of life. The children have been made to fit the warped standards of our controlled society, rather than our world accomodating their innocent needs. One of the keys of the ‘revolution’ must surely start with the way children are treated. Some people choose not to have children but everyone was a child once - it concerns us all.
I felt this as a child and i still feel it.
