the production consisted of two sets: the first a collection of pink floyd material, and songs from roger's solo career. a wide variety of waters' music, including several classic compositions from the the wall, pieces from animals, (with a giant flying puppet pig with the phrase "impeach bush" inscribed on its "gluteus maximus"), wish you were here, and the final cut.
it also included a new(ish) song. "leaving beirut", an instrumental backdrop for a short story/graphic novel about waters' experience hitch-hiking in lebanon, interspersed with lyrics about the us and uk involvement in the iraq war. a line caught my attention in this song: "don't let the might of the christian right fuck it up for you and the rest of the world". good stuff. it invoked a mixed reaction from the crowd, with many rising to their feet and cheering.
the second set featured roger waters and his full band performing the dark side of the moon album in its entirety, plus encores.
a definite must; not to be missed by any floyd and waters' fan.
