Pete and I have decided to part ways for now, but the split was amicable! He's such a helpful coach, even though he is no longer my coach. We just couldn't get things to gel in the last couple of weeks and decided I should give it a go on my own for marathon training. I'm nervous and excited. He gave me some excellent tips and advice on how to create my own schedule. His advice, combined with a schedule I found written by Joe Rubio (runningwarehouse.com co-owner and Aggies Running Club coach) should get me running strong and keep me injury free ... knock on wood.
Since I have a enough base to build upon and work with, I'll start official training next week. This is going to be interesting!
Now if only I could get rid of this cold... it left, and now it's back. :(
