New Botoxmeister: Dr Andre

Posted Oct 20 2009 10:04pm
Regular readers will know I adore a bit of Botox - just a few little drops here and there to keep everything from sliding into a muddle. I've now got a new Botox doc as Ravi deserted the cause of keeping beauty editors pretty and went off to set up his own (rather fabulous) clinic outside London. I've only just forgiven him really. Anyway, its always a bit nerve-wracking to start anew and put your face - and any freezing - into the hands of someone else. Ravi worked in a very instinctive way - like, he just 'got' it and would adjust and modify as he went along and did the same with any fillers I had, too. I loved the results which looked entirely natural and while I haven't had any fillers for a long time, there is no way I want to give up on the Botox yet. So, back to Dr Andre. He works in a very different way - much more technical and less 'free' if you like, and initially I really thought he had just done 'Botox by the book'. I didn't expect a bad result, but neither did I expect the excellent result I've had. It is easily as natural as before, but the 'brow lifting effect' which is the bit I love most, is probably the best I've ever had. Great - wide awake eyes for a change! Just goes to show that very often, results really are down to the practitioner, which is why, in my view, I'd never end up going to someone who wasn't a) a qualified doctor, and b) hadn't done hundreds of people before me. Anyway, if you are inclined to have a little primping done via needle, I'm liking the new guy. www.courthouseclinics.com
