Yes, Oscar season is finally upon us. LA is buzzing, although the level of excitement is not quite what I experienced last year during my first awards season in Hollywood. There are a spate of parties, beauty lounges and gifting suites all weekend (I’m going to a beauty lounge this afternoon, then am attending a beauty launch party tonight at Social), the hairstylists, makeup artists and personal stylists are all having coronaries, and the Chateau Marmont, Beverly Hills Hotel and Four Seasons are packed to the rafters with the rich and fabulous. As for me, I can’t wait for my cocktail party tomorrow in celebration of Confessions of a Beauty Addict! I’m going to the Neil George salon in the morning for a blowout, am having a makeup artist from Laura Mercier do my makeup, and have a new dress from BCBG for the occasion. The party is at 2pm in Santa Monica, at STUDIO Fred Segal, so be sure to pop by and say hello!
