Burning sensation on chest and neck

I have a burning sensation on my chest, neck, and it is gradually moving up my chin. The rash is pink and slightly raised and NOT itchy at all, but feels like a bad sunburn with fiberglass particles stuck in it.
Cool wet cloths help a little and so does Gold Bond powder. It has happened a couple times before on my chest, but goes away within a few minutes. This burning pain has been constant for almost 24 hours.
Any ideas on what it could be?
