I've severely bruised my arm and the bruise grows darker and larger at a worryingly fast rate...

I'm an 18 year old female student and hurt my arm about 2 or 3 nights okay from a bad fall on a nights drinking (of course) It bruised straight away but I didn't notice much pain at the time or the following few days. The bruise has grown and a the middle of it is has gone from grey to purple and now black. There appears to be white specs within the black...and the whole of the bruise has spread further and further up arm with about half of my forearm now a shade of brown. It's awful to look at and people gasp when they see it and I'm really worried if it will develop into something more severe. I don't have a doctor registered in the city I live in as I've only just moved for university..am I worrying for no reason?
