Persistant itching

No hives, no rash, not poison ivy, no skin irratations and or scrapes...have taken various alleregy type meds, only to have no impact. The itching seems to be internal, as in muscle and elbow. Gets worse when I itch but will go away eventually....but not completely. Has happened in the past and occured in shoulder muscle. Real drag
