Well, the Rangers GM has already taken one Athletic, and they hope to take two more. The Rangers added Ron Washington in hopes of more players following. The Rangers plan to meet with Zito's agent in the next few weeks and have already met with Thomas's agent, ArnTellem. The Rangers hope to offer a 2-3 year deal around 18-20 million. The A's want him back, but money might be a problem and if Zito continues to meet with the Rangers, they could draw Thomas there, who said he was "very fond" of Zito and Washington.
