Weight Lifting Routines: Endurance Legs Routine

Posted Jul 29 2008 12:13pm

I’ve told you in almost all myweight lifting routinesposts that to obtain consistently good results, you need to keep on changing your weightlifting charts.

Small things like changing you exercises or even changing the weight lifting techniques you use for those exercises will do wonders. That’s why I suggest that you shouldn’t use any of my free workout routines for a period longer than 8 weeks. Otherwise you’ll start to see periods of muscle weakness and periods of muscle decline.

So here is another leg weight lifting routine designed to strengthen the muscles and to rip the legs. It’s a pretty simple routine as all the weight lifting exercises used have been introduced in previous posts. And the weight lifting techniques used in this routine is pretty much the same from what you’ve learned so far.

The way this free workout routine was designed was to really put an emphasis on endurance in the leg muscles. You can see that below by the amount of sets and reps there are for each exercise in these weightlifting charts.

Make sure that you do each set for the given amount of reps. And don’t push yourself too hard in the beginning because it is such a long routine. So make sure you use weights that will allow you to do all the weight lifting exercises effectively.

FREE WEIGHTLIFTING ROUTINES: Endurance Leg Routine

Single-Leg Extension:1-3 sets x 12-20 reps

Leg Extensions:2 sets x 12-20 reps

Squats:
5 sets x 15,12,10,8,6 reps

Lunges:
3-4 sets x 12-15 reps

Lying Leg Curls:
5 sets x 12-15 reps

Stiff-Legged Deadlift:
4-5 sets x 12-15 reps

Standing Calf Raise:
5 sets x 25 reps

I know that it is a very lengthy routine and for the most part, you do want to keep your weight lifting routines about a half of the length above. But because this routine is designed to build endurance, length is the only way to go.

I’ve already revealed all of these exercises in earlier weight lifting routines posts but if you need a refresher on what these exercises are or how to perform them, then visit the link at the end of this paragraph. Just navigate to the appropriate muscle group and look for the exercise.GO HERE
