This is unbelievable! Surfing in Wisconsin (I didn't even know that was possible!) on New Year's Day, with a wind chill of 2 degrees.
Where I live, there's a fundraiser where people jump into the freezing bay waters in the winter as a "thank you" (and entertainment, I guess you could say!) for the people who supported the cause. It's referred to in some places as a "Penguin Plunge." The pictures at the link above reminded me of something like that, only much much much much more daring and intense, obviously.
Have any of you ever surfed the Great Lakes, or somewhere else in similar conditions? What was it like?
