I am 39 years old and happily married to Ron, my husband of 16 years. I have 2 sons and 2 furbabies, Annie - a 12 year old Redtick Coonhound/Smooth Collie Mix & Faith - a 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier.

I have an Associate Degree in Technical Studies where I majored in Health Sciences and minored in Accounting. I have spent the better part of the past 4 years working as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper and in Human Resources. Out of the two - I love HR the best :)

My cancer has indeed put a crimp in my plans. I was diagnosed on October 24th, 2007. On March 21st, 2008 I was given PET/CT scan results that put me in the clear. On December 11th, 2008 - nearly 9 months after my last scan - I was informed that my cancer is back - and bigger and badder than it ever was before.

Apparently I am thought to have Renal Cell Carcinoma - Stage IIIa - with retroperitoneal lymph node involvement and numerous liver lesions. Oh - did I mention that I am unemployed, uninsured and not eligible for Medicaid or Disability until I can get a pathology report? Indeed it's been an interesting ride - a roller coaster to be exact.
