Get Ready For Thanksgiving

Posted Nov 27 2008 10:21am

Thanksgiving dinner Thanksgiving Day is celebrated this Thursday in the United States. Canadians have already celebrated it on the second Monday of October.

The traditional North American holiday dates back from the 1600s and it’s famous for its gathering of family and friends for a “eating all-day” ritual.

We should prepare for the traditional celebration and the massive amounts of food served at the Thanksgiving dinner.

The dinner is normally a large meal centered around a large roasted turkey. Several side dishes complete the “food fest” of most families.  The most common foods served on “turkey day” are sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, gravy, corn on the cob and mashed potatoes.

Desserts have also a place on the menu. Many types of pies are generally served on Thanksgiving, such as pumpkin pie, apple pie and sweet potato pie.

Most people also know how they will feel on Thursday night: stuffed. We tend to overeat every year, no matter how hard you try to stop eating all the delicious choices for the holiday.

It seems to be an acceptable mistake we make every year; after all, it’s only once a year, right?

Nevertheless, we can always get a supplement to make us feel better and still enjoy the rest of the night and, don’t forget, black Friday.

Natural digestive enzymes may be the relief you need for the “after hours” on Thursday. Several products provide quick relief, making your feel better before bedtime.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving Day.
