Attitude and your diet plan

Posted Apr 11 2009 12:56am

Did you know that your attitude at the beginning of a task is more important than almost anything in determing the outcome of that task? This is an established psychological fact.

Take dieting. Your attitude will negatively affect your ability to diet if you:

  • go into a diet with the weight of past failures on your mind
  • go into a diet with other people's doubts about you on your mind
  • are afraid to lose weight
  • pick a diet that is much to restrictive for you
  • have very little confidence in your ability to diet successfully

See what you can do to brighten your attitude at the start. Engage in positive self talk. Speak with a woman who conquered a weight problem. Read up on the possibilities of how to do it. Diet with a trustworthy friend. Enlist support and encouragement from loved ones.

Lift up your attitude at the beginning of your diet and up your chances for success.
