The Bari-15 Ready-To-Drink is an eight ounce protein supplement packaged in an aseptic container. It comes with it's own straw, and you can drink it on the go like a juice box. The fact that it looks and tastes pretty much like a creamy chocolate milk, you're a little kid for a few minutes anyway. (I poured it into a big glass to 'show' you the consistency, which is quite nice, remember, I am texture aversion girl.)
The drink itself tastes, like I said, like creamy chocolate milk. I do not catch much coffee taste in this - maybe ever-so-slightly, but then again, I am sipping this alongside espresso. (Sorry Gene, it's breakfast time.) That's fine. Creamy chocolate milk is good. It's the texture of this product that I dig, it's not thin, not at all, but you don't have to shake it for days and worry about random protein clots either. (Love that, don't you?) It's totally and absolutely smooth.
If you have had weight loss surgery, this protein shake is appropriate for you pre-operatively and in Stage Two after you're off clear liquids, usually day two or more, ask your nutritionist or surgeon. It's also completely appropriate for any point in the future - I'm five years post op - and it's breakfast.
