Big Decision-Need Impartial Advice

Posted Jun 22 2009 12:33pm
As a lot of you will already know I am Irish and currently live there with my husband, who is American. After we got married we lived in Orange County, CA for a couple of years due to my husband's job and he still works for the same company except he does this from our home here in Ireland. So recently we visited his family in CA and since we have gotten back we can't stop thinking about moving back there.

It is such a hard decision to make because when I lived there I missed my family in Ireland a lot, but we both vastly prefer the lifestyle in the US and we feel that is the best place for opportunities for ourselves and for our (future) children. The trouble with making this kind of decision though is impartial advice is very scarce. One side of the family is all for the move back and the other is pleading for us to stay here in Ireland. The are, of course, many benefits and drawbacks to both and I feel like my head is just spinning with every little detail. How's a girl even to think about losing weight in all this?! I guess sometimes more important issues to come one's attention!!

Anyone out there had this problem? How did it turn out for you? Should we go with our instincts to move back?
