I don't remember if I mentioned that Mr. MM had again applied for a new job, which would bump him one level in job titles, and quite a bit in pay, and would make him crave-worthy to other companies in the future. He's applied for this same position now, I think, three or four times, as it's come open.
That is why I say I don't really remember if I mentioned it, we have been through this, repeatedly. He got an email today, that again it's not happening, this time for the two different locations he tried for. One would have been just a commute, one would have been a move for us,
I was not really okay with that, because if we are moving, I want out
of the state, not just half-way, let us make it count.
The letter stated that he should continue to strive for what he's aiming to do (positive!) and he was indeed the best candidate interviewed (positive!) and keep on keepin' on. But, there was no negative in the letter. It was truly odd. One would expect a negative to follow, with a direction.
He came home from his non-vacation (did I mention his quit his vacation nearly an entire week early to go in to work to keep checking his email about this?) with a headache and a four pack of Reeses' cups, half-eaten. Oh, and plans, in the works, already for an interview next week in another just posted location in the same company, which would be, a five hour drive kind of move.
Yes, we realize, it's absolutely crazy, but so is sitting here waiting for 'apocalypse.' Crazy sounds about normal right now.
*Edited to add, I just opened the mail. I got a denial letter for my FAFSA. I don't qualify. Why? I am married, and HE makes too "much." Family of six with one income, and we're loaded, right? I have my interview with the photography program this week. It's not going to go
very well with no financial aid option, but we already knew this.
Crazy sounds about right, as does the pot farm greenhouse set up on the back porch and internet sales? I'm at a loss. Please do not spam me with your MLM. (Bob was very briefly an Electrolux boy, I admit it. Very. Briefly. The ad read? Guaranteed Income. He was in college.)
