Plastic Surgery Complications - Update (again)

Posted Oct 23 2008 9:24pm

The doctors didn't find anything wrong, other than a lack of protein.   She's been home with a visiting nurse for a while now.  She came home from her recheck appointment today with treatment for " vertigo."  What does vertigo have to do with any of this?  Sure, she's dizzy and nauseous, a lot.  But, if there are no additional reasons for it - and it's a new symptom since plastic surgery?  Why?  I keep thinking there's got to be more to it.  But, a subtle clue was given today by SIL - she said that MIL seemed panic-y, and it's increased whatever symptoms she's dealing with.  She couldn't make it to her nutritionists appointment today in the same hospital, she had to come home and go to bed.  (This is what SIL says.)

Physically, she looks terrible.  She looks emaciated and tiny, of course a lot of this has to do with the fact that her giant panni was removed and she was cut in half.  But, her face, sunken, and skeletal.  My husband just said, "She doesn't look right."  I have a hunch that this entire episode will eventually give way to other underlying issues, in a not-good way.  She's not working, which translates to a lack of cash, which translates to "no spending," which was her "thing."  Do you see where I am going with this?  She's been in, around, back to bed for weeks - loosely resembling her former very-obese self when she'd spend half-days in bed, watching TV and eating...
