Supportive relationships help weight loss

Even if you don't go for therapy or counseling to help you with your weight problem, you still need a solid helping relationship. You need to have someone (or more than one person) you can count on when you run into problems.

It's essential to choose a helper wisely. Make sure this person can sustain support for you. You need someone to talk with, someone you can open up to, someone who will not judge, but will understand.

People who have a personal cheering section have a much better chance for successful change.
