I've been having a rough time with my stomach lately, so I've been making stuff I know won't bother me to get by until things go "back to normal" post-baby. Most meat and veggies just don't go down and stay down well. I've actually had to throw up a couple of times in the past week - which is something I have been lucky to avoid.
One of the safe foods = meatballs. But, the thought of regular fatty ground beef turns my stomach, so I've been making my meatballs and meatloaf with at least one half being ground turkey breast. The combo of lean beef and ground turkey breast makes for an interesting colored meatball, but they taste good, so who cares. Last night I found ground turkey at Super Wal-Mart for very cheap, under two dollars for a plastic tube (like you'd get like Jimmy Dean Sausage?). Next time, I'll stock up, that's a good price.
