Weight Loss Motivation From the "Right" Diet Plan

Posted Apr 11 2009 12:55am

by Maria's Last Diet

Dear Maria...

I just went on a kooky-crazy diet. Everyone told me it was ridiculous. But when I lost 45 lbs...

What I did was make up my own diet. Why not? I had been on every new diet there was, and it was time for something different. Since I hate weighing and measuring my food, I picked 8 of my favorite healthy foods and decided that's what I would eat, in no particular amounts. Here's what I picked:

    apples
    tomatoes
    almonds
    whole wheat pasta
    ground chicken
    parmesan cheese
    steak
    broccoli
(plus olive oil and half & half for coffee)

I ran it by my doctor, and she didn't see anything wrong with it, as long as it was for a limited period of time.

It took me 6 months, and I really enjoyed it. The only deviation was to change up the broccoli with green beans and lettuce when I felt like it.

I weighed nothing (except myself). I had nothing to rebel against. I fully understood the logic of doing it this way. The food was healthy, and I liked all of it.

Now I'm maintaining, in much the same way. I'm eating healthy food in no particular amount. So far, I've kept it off and it's been 7 months.

Just wanted to share.
