Weight Loss Tip: Be Specific

When you want to lose weight, it helps a great deal to be very specific about your weight loss goals.

In other words, "I want to be thinner" is too vague. What is a particular behavior or eating habit you can try to change that you think is keeping you from being thinner?

It is also essential that you develop a way to track your progress toward changing that behavior. You must have a way to measure how you are doing. You need to monitor the steps you are taking to change that behavior, and you need to ask: How will I know if the steps I'm taking are working?
