Nothing new on race day.

Don't change anything on race day - your diet, your shoes, or your gear. Stick with what worked in training.

Log it.

Log your weekly runs so you know how you're progressing.

Got 6 months?

If you're new to marathon running, plan to leave yourself at least six months to train.

Training

Swim with your wetsuit.

Practice swimming in the pool with your wetsuit on to get used to it.

Go the distance.

Practice training for as long as the race at least once before the race itself.

Race morning.

During the morning of the race, eat what you would normally eat for a workout the length of your race.
