Develop the muscles that are key to climbing: shoulder, back, abs, forearms, grip and of course, your legs.

Initiate your role using your core muscles, especially your abs. Don't try to start with you back and shoulders.

To avoid injuring your spine while dancing, work on keeping your abs and core muscles strong. Crunches and Pilates can help.

For beginners

Do a 10-exercise routine

A basic strength workout should include 8 - 10 exercises and work out your legs, shoulders, chest, back, arms and abs.

Don't forget your abs to help build your core strength.
