Acne Vulgaris

Exactly why some people get acne and why some people don't is not fully known. Acne is known to be partly hereditary and is most common during adolescence. During my teenage years I had acne too. I remember my mom was always telling me that a good acne treatment is to wash my face often to help clear up my face. It was only later that I've known that frequent washing is far from preventing acne, in fact, it may only cause them to get clogged and irritate the pores.

Nowadays, many acne treatments are available and they promise big improvements within two weeks only to be disappointed with the results. Many products for treating acne have come out claiming that they're very effective but you have to be careful because many of which are without any scientifically proven effects.

The best acne treatment should not contain any harsh ingredients like benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl Peroxide will only dry and irritate skin. Look for the one that will help you clear the breakouts and help prevent new ones from forming. Making your skin healthy can help you get rid of acne.

GLUTEN FREE DIET will completely clear acne if it is caused from a sensitivity to gluten. My son was tormented by acne for over two years. He's been on every topical, and oral drug available, and as a last resort given accutane. For months he took accutane with some clearing then several large boils, pain, it was horrible. As a mom I was desperate to help him. Remembering a friend who's daughter had Celiacs Disease, I recalled her going on a gluten free diet and her face clearing up completely. I decided to google "Gluten causes Acne" and several dozen sites popped up with enough info to convice me and my son that he need to try this gluten free diet. I'm still AMAZED when I think about how fast his face cleared. The first month we noticed some clearing and not much new in the way of breakouts, by the 2nd month it was obvious that the gluten free diet was working in an amazing way. People began to comment about how great his skin looked, he cut his hair short, held his face up high, and had confidence again! Plus, it is completely FREE. You don't have to buy anything or pay any Dr. which may be why they don't mention this possibility. I would suggest, NO, I would beg anyone with acne to try a strict Gluten Free diet before putting rounds of drugs on your face and in your body. You do have to be careful with foods, but there is still plenty you can eat. Just do a little research. If you have any questions feel free to email me. Take care,Kelly

Acne is a common problem which mostly affects teenagers but sometimes adults too. People try out different acne treatment methods to combat this problem and end up damaging their skin with harsh chemicals.
