If I lose weight will my ovarian cyst be under control?

I'am 50 to 70 pounds overweight and I have started to have abnormal bleeding and I have just foung out that I have ovarian cyst. I'm just having a lot of problems now that I have gained all of this weight. I'm a 26 year old wife with no kids yet. I'am almost 5'7" but not quite.  I really have to lose weight because just recently I noticed a quarter size lump about 2 inches from my vaginal mound area on my lower abdomen. It does not hurt but I did have a burning sensation where the lump is for a few hours 2 days ago. then it stopped. I know that this could be just a fatty cyst since I'm so big but I really need help. Please can you tell me how to start a weight loss program. I do not eat that much but at times I do eat a lot of ice cream. I know that is bad enough. I really would like to know how I could start a weight loss progarm to help my ovarian cyst be under control. I do not have health insurance so all of my visit to the doctor have been out of pocket. Pleaase any advice I would really appreciate. Thanks in advance.
