Shopping Malls Becoming Extinct Like the Dinosaurs

Even before the recession hit, shoppers were avoiding enclosed shopping malls and opting for one-stop shopping at Wal-Mart, Whole Foods, and Costco. The Week reports that across the nation these giant building/parking lot complexes are fading to black; More than 400 of the 2,000 largest malls in the U.S. have closed in the past two years. When the economy comes back, chances are very good that something else will have replaced "the mall".
