I apologize in advance for the inherent blah-ness of this post.
Todd's new job ended being a no-go after only one day of training. It turns out the company wasn't doing nearly as well as they'd portrayed on Interview Day. Todd already has one job that requires lots of work with no promise of actual income. So he decided not to waste his time and once again hit the pavement today, handing out resumes and applications. Sadly, nothing seems very promising. Most aren't hiring for any positions at all. Those that are offer low hourly pay rates. But even that would be something - a step in the right direction.
My mom stayed through this afternoon to offer as much help as she could. She's been an amazing source of help, both financially and with her time this week. She had to leave right around the time I was having a bit of a meltdown, working my way through the bankruptcy worksheets.
This is all such a rollercoaster. And I'm flirting with exhaustion on nearly every level. So is Todd. We're keeping it together for, and because of, the girls. But we absolutely HAVE to have something turn our way soon.
I wish I had something witty or inspiring to add. But today I just don't. Maybe tomorrow.
